Yes, it is the end of January and schools are planning for the coming school year. We are in a profession which is always looking to the future to enhance and prepare the next generation of students. We look at current data to improve tomorrow's lessons, we read about history to make better decisions, and we review information of today to enhance our students' learning. Campuses are in the midst of the current year's teaching but are also starting to view the incoming students for next year. They must answer numerous questions and make adjustments for numbers and needs of those students. MWJH and MWHS have also started the planning process for the 2017-2018 school year.
MWHS counselors will be on our campus March 2nd & March 3rd registering students for their 9th grade courses. This process will be done during the 8th grade students' history classes and using the library on March 2nd and the C-Hall computer labs on March 3rd. The high school counselors will explain to our students the requirements for classes and help them register on the computers. The counselors will also be hosting a Parent Meeting on the evening of February 28 at 6:00pm here at the Junior High. This meeting will inform the parents and guardians of the registration process, classes students will need to sign up for, and answer questions regarding the state graduation requirements.
